Pelton Wheel flow meters are suitable for use on virtually any clean fluid of low to medium viscosity. As the fluid passes through the meter it causes a vaned wheel to rotate. Magnets embedded in the wheel at its edges, induce a pulse in a Hall effect pickup mounted in the meter body. The number of pulses per litre (the K-Factor) is then used to derive flow rate and total. |
The meters are available in two options SPX and SPT. The SPX version has a transparent top cover so that the wheel can be seen rotating enabling the unit to be used as a sight flow indicator as well as a meter. The SPT version is made completely of PTFE and PVDF allowing it to be used with very aggressive chemicals.
Pipe sizes from 3/8" up to 1" and flow rates up to 150 L/min enable this 10 Bar rated meter to be used in a wide variety of applications from water treatment chemical dosing to fuel flow monitoring.
